  • Why use a sourcing firm?

    There are many excellent factories in China; However, dealing with Chinese factories requires a lot of experience in terms of effective communications (in Chinese), product quality control process (material requirements, processing technologies, mid-production and end product quality testing), shipping and export management. Using a professional company like CSMFG will help you buy goods from China with much less hassle and even lower cost!

  • Do I pay more working with you than going straight to factories?

    The answer is "NO." you end up paying less to work with us in several ways! First, a lot of factories don't deal with buyers directly, and they are represented by agents. Second, many factories do have their own export departments; However, you will notice that using a professional export agent is more efficient than dealing with factories directly. When you try to find a product, you know that it could be made by many factories, not just one factory. Instead of searching them one by one, you can use a professional agent to bring you the right choice at once! Third, a professional agent knows how to control production quality, and substantially minimize your business risks! Overall, we assist, not compete with factories to reach customers.

  • How is quality controlled?

    A. We have a dedicated QA team
    B. We shall do one sample run, then a small batch run before mass order. For a sample order, you can usually make a 50% down payment and only pay the remainder after satisfactory result.

  • What is CSMFG's role if the parts are not of sufficient quality?

    We will manage problem solving, root-cause-analysis, and be constantly on top of the factory to redo the parts. Often, we play the buffer/lubrication role so that the factory and customer can have a working relationship and avoid gridlock.

  • Is Client's intellectual property well protected by CSMG in China?

    Yes, we protect the clients’ intellectual property well. Many clients sign special agreements with us and we never face any difficulties. We are interested in long-term relationship with our clients and not in a one-shot deal.

  • What is the minimum order size / value you accept?

    We accept order quantity with around 100 pieces as a small quantity market-testing-run.

  • Can I come and visit you?

    Yes, of course. We are pleased to welcome you to visit our company and discuss technical details and requirements with our team.

  • Do you have any references from customers who have worked with you in the past?

    If you need any reference, please contact us by rfq@csmfg.com and we will be pleased to provide you with a reference list upon request.

  • Are you able to work with other factories together? For example, we name a factory and you deliver the Products there for further manufacturing?

    We are able to help you with one-stop sourcing of all electrical components. For example, you may ask us to buy some components from a supplier appointed by you. We are pleased to help you on your behalf.

  • What's the production lead time?

    For initial samples, usually 5 days. If mold is required, please add 20-40 days.For mass production, please allow 30 days and 30 days for shipping.We have good relationships with steel mills, so we can get raw material rather quickly.

  • What's the import duty to USA for steel products?

    Please check Chapter 73 of US Tariff Schedule. Typically, the duty is free except for some specific products.For example, 3.2 -4.3% for pipe fittings. 2% for stainless steel kitchen. 3.9% for steel wire. 3.2% for steel flanges.

  • Is the steel material I need available in China?

    In most cases, yes. There's almost always a substitution material in China. We can provide chemical composition reports and physical test results (tensile strength, compression strength, elongation...) from the 3rd party labs.

  • How well do you communicate about the project?

    Our experienced team communicates with our customers in fluent English. Together with our marketing & sales director, who is native Germany, we are helping you in any possible ways. Many of our engineers can write and understand English well and are familiar with international engineering standards.

  • What are your payment terms?

    We typically ask for 30% -40% down payments to launch production. Credit terms can be discussed later.

  • What do you need for quotation?

    We need 2D part drawing & 3 D drawing, and specific mold & part requirement, or samples for precision and clearness about your product.

  • What's your mold lead time?

    Normally, mold will be finished in 4-5 weeks, but it depends on the mold structures and sizes.

  • What's your quote time?

    Normally,it is up to 3 days. We need to understand your requirements and critical dimensions.

  • How about the tolerance?

    We intend to provide your products as precise as possible. However, according to some uncontrollable situation, mold tolerance is 0.005mm and product tolerance is 0.02mm (affected by shrinkage ratio). 

  • What's your after sales?

    From our company side, we would like to provide our best service to you. If any products are with quality problems, we will replace at our expense. For your benefit, we would like to establish a clear quality inspection criterion at the beginning stage of the project.We also have an CRM system to keep work history with all customers to follow up your overall experience with us.
